From scandal to standing ovation, Tom Sandoval is turning the page — and turning heads — on America’s Got Talent.
On the June 24 episode of AGT, the Vanderpump Rules alum hit the stage with his band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras, performing an electrifying cover of A-ha’s “Take On Me.” And for the first time, viewers got to see the full audition — drama, vocals, glitter, and all.
Mel B lit up with praise:
“You made me smile. You gave me happy vibes,” she said, even joking that she might book them for her upcoming wedding!
Howie Mandel saluted Tom as a true “showman,” while Sofía Vergara couldn’t hide her excitement:
“Tom, you look amazing up there. You brought us joy tonight.”
Then came the moment everyone braced for — Simon Cowell. Known for his brutal honesty, he didn’t hold back:
“The vocals weren’t great, Tom… But sometimes, it’s not about a record deal. It’s about being yourself.”
Verdict? Four yes votes. Tom and the Most Extras are headed to the next round, inching closer to the $1 million grand prize.
Backstage, an emotional Tom told Terry Crews:
“Seeing people cheering for us — it means so much.”
The performance marks a dramatic turn for Sandoval, who didn’t shy away from addressing the “Scandoval” cheating scandal that made headlines last year. But Mel B summed up the mood best:
“I don’t give a f*** about his scandal. Who cares? I liked it — because I’m cheesy!”
