MGK added, “Life will always be less without you, but legends never die. We’ll all miss you brother.”
In addition to the touching connection to his and Megan’s baby, the 33-year-old went on to convey how much the loss has also affected his daughter Casie, 15, who he shares with Emma Cannon.
“Telling my daughter you’re gone was one of my hardest phone calls, because she loved you so much,” he wrote. “And I’ll never forget when she was too young to understand your name was Dingo so she called you Ping Pong.”
While Dingo previously admitted that he and MGK didn’t initially get along, the Australian-born athlete explained that their bond was inevitable.
“We're just very similar,” he said on the Back to Your Story podcast in 2022. “He's got a dark past, I’ve got a dark past and when you put that behind you… I think I'm very good at spotting greatness and he's always had greatness in him.”
That same year, Dingo shared a touching note in support of his pal, writing on Instagram that he was “proud of him and the man he has become.”
