Jennifer Aniston returned to TV with the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series The Morning Show. The drama series was centered around a morning talk show and spoke about topical issues such as the ‘MeToo’ movement, the COVID-19 pandemic, and many other important issues for the USA. Aniston co-produced and starred in the show along with Reese Witherspoon.
Aniston’s The Morning Show had a great run at the Critic’s Choice Awards that occurred earlier this week, securing six nominations and a win for Billy Crudup for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. During the red carpet for the Awards, Aniston and Witherspoon bumped into actor Pedro Pascal and offered him a role in season four of the show.

Actors Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon represented their TV show The Morning Show at the Critic’s Choice Awards that occurred earlier this week. The two not only acted in the show as protagonists Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson but also produced the Apple TV+ show and have been nominated for the Golden Globes and the Emmy Awards.
During the red carpet event for the Critic’s Choice Awards, Aniston and Witherspoon bumped into The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal. After complimenting his sling for his hurt shoulder, Aniston and Witherspoon offered him a role in the fourth season of The Morning Show, to which Pascal responded positively.

Pascal joined the duo while they were giving an interview when Reese Witherspoon seemed to realize that there was a role for him in season four. Aniston, too, seemed to have seen him in a particular role, which they revealed that he would be romantically involved with all of them. Pascal jokingly said,
“I sleep with everyone on the show. I’m in. I’ll be waiting to hear from my agents. Draw it up. Send me a script or just pitch it to me in the room.”
Both Aniston and Witherspoon seemed to be excited about the prospect and mentioned that they had a few hours to pitch Pascal the role they had in mind.

Jennifer Aniston’s The Morning Show has had multiple guest stars as well as prominent actors in the main cast. Apart from Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carrell stars as the ex-host of TMS, Mitch Kessler. Other actors such as Mindy Kaling, Martin Short, Will Arnett, and Jon Hamm have starred in recurring roles.
With Pedro Pascal being one of the most sought-after stars in the business at the moment, producers and stars Aniston and Witherspoon casually offered him a role in the fourth season of the show while on the red carpet event for the Critic’s Choice Awards. While Pascal showed interest in the beginning, he left the interview after a while with an, “I’m out”.
Jennifer Aniston was surprised by the sudden exit of the actor, who was showing enthusiasm about starring in The Morning Show. She said,
“Look at him. He’s gone. We hired him and he just fired himself. We love him.”
Pedro Pascal seems to have a lot on his plate at the moment as he goes into the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us. He is also all but confirmed for the role of Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four film in the MCU.
