Ever since welcoming her fourth child in March, Megan Fox has been keeping to herself, staying off social media and away from the press. Until, that is, Wednesday, May 21, when she hopped onto her Instagram stories. Speaking out for the first time since giving birth, Megan called her baby with Machine Gun Kelly a “happy surprise” and sent a message to women who might be trying for babies of their own.
Megan shared the rare update over a video of her cameo in Prime Video's new show, Overcompensating. In the show, the actor appears as a poster of her 2009 film Jennifer's Body come to life—that's a trip 15 years into the past, FYI, which would be a scary thing for anyone to do, let alone someone who just found out they're expecting. “38 years old six weeks pregnant (unplanned but a happy surprise),” she wrote on her Stories.
“Please stop listening to the patriarchy. Women are eternal light beings. We do not have an expiration date. Don't let them rob you of your power,” she continued, seemingly referring to the somewhat outdated idea of “geriatric pregnancies,” which refers to pregnancies that occur when the person is 35 or older. Megan didn't provide any further updates on her newest bundle of joy—or her relationship with MGK—but concluded by telling her followers to go stream the show.
Other than her Overcompensating cameo, Megan has had a pretty busy year so far. In November of last year, she broke off her engagement after reportedly finding something distressing on MGK's phone. Things got so bad between them that reports claimed they weren't even speaking in January. However, Megan and MGK appear to have found more solid footing since the birth of their daughter, whose name has yet to be announced.
MGK announced the happy news with an Instagram post, celebrating his “little celestial seed.” At the time, reports suggested that Machine Gun Kelly and Megan were committed to co-parenting. A source has since told People that MGK had been staying at Megan's house part-time. “Their relationship remains focused strictly on coparenting their baby girl,” the source said. “While Colson does occasionally stay at Megan's house, it's only part-time and solely to spend time with the baby.”
