Mom-shamers never take a break, and apparently attacking one mom does nothing to stop them from turning on another for the exact same reason. Sharna Burgess just addressed a ridiculous accusation about her parenting that her co-parent Megan Fox has faced in the past, and we are so frustrated for her.
The Dancing With The Stars pro opened up about her experience on a Between Us Moms podcast on Oct. 9, while explaining why she and her fiancé Brian Austin Green don’t want to do a reality show with their blended family. “We’ve had people interested and I get why,” Burgess said, per PEOPLE. “There’s so much that I’m sure people would love to know about what happens in our household and having such a busy chaotic life, and it’s fun but it’s also just not me.”

“I think I want to keep my kids out of that and I certainly know Brian and Megan want to,” the 38-year-old said. She shares son Zane, 2, with Green and is stepmom to Green’s sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 8, who he shares with ex Megan Fox, and his son Kassius, 21, who he shares with ex Vanessa Marcil. “I want to keep them out of that,” Burgess added.
Part of the reason she wants to keep her kids out of it? Because she already faces backlash and accusations for the length of her son’s hair. Yes, seriously. “We already get media articles like I’m forcing Zane to be a girl because I haven’t cut his hair yet or the ridiculous people saying that the kids are being forced to be girls,” she said. “I don’t understand it. So imagine us doing an actual reality show. The attention is just not healthy for our kids and it’s certainly not Brian’s style either.”
What?! First of all, getting mad because a boy’s hair is too long is ridiculous. Who cares if a boy or man has long hair? Have you seen Jason Momoa? A kid should be allowed to express himself however they want, whether that’s just wearing their hair longer or having a different gender identity. And accusing someone of forcing their sons to be girls just makes me so mad. As a boy mom, I’ve faced similar stuff for giving my baby a pink pacifier or buying my son Barbies for Christmas. It’s so narrow-minded to think kids have to act or look or be interested in certain things just because they are a boy or girl.
Megan Fox has faced similar accusations about her kids with Green in the past. In 2023, Robby Starbuck, who was disqualified from running for a U.S. congressional seat for the state of Tennessee in 2022, captured a screenshot image on Twitter of Fox out with her kids. In the photo, Noah is wearing a pink tie dye set with the words “Strong Girls” written on the sleeve.
Starbuck claimed that he previously lived in the same gated community as Fox, writing, “I saw two of them have a full-on breakdown saying they were forced by their mom to wear girls’ clothes as their nanny tried to console them. It’s pure child abuse. Pray for them.”
The Transformers star responded to this outlandish Tweet, writing on Instagram that she didn’t want to give him attention, “But let me teach you something … Irregardless of how desperate you may become at any given time to acquire wealth, power, success, or fame — never use children as leverage or social currency. Especially under malevolent and erroneous pretense.”
“Exploiting my children’s gender identity to gain attention in your political campaign has put you on the wrong side of the universe,” she continued. “I have been burned at the stake by insecure, narcissistic, impotent, little men like you many times, and yet I’m still here. You f*cked with the wrong b*tch.” Yes, girl!

Fox opened up about her son’s interest in wearing dresses in a previous interview with Glamour. “Noah started wearing dresses when he was about two, and I bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is. Some of the books are written by transgender children. Some of the books are just about how you can be a boy and wear a dress; you can express yourself through your clothing however you want,” she said. “And that doesn’t even have to have anything to do with your sexuality. So from the time they were very young, I’ve incorporated those things into their daily lives so that nobody feels like they are weird or strange or different.”
