And just a few moments before, Brad took a moment in his acceptance speech to joke about his romantic history, having also been engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow in 1996 and married to Angelina Jolie from 2014 to 2019.
"Let's be honest, it was a difficult part," Brad said of his character in the Quentin Tarantino film. "A guy who gets high, takes his shirt off, and doesn't get on with his wife. It was a big stretch."
And after the star-studded ceremony, Jennifer had nothing but fond words for her former husband, explaining on The Howard Stern Show the following year that “it was absolutely fun” to see him.
“You know, Brad and I are buddies,” she continued. “Like, we’re friends and we speak.”
