Machine Gun Kelly is sharing a very special woodcarving project with his fans — and opening up about the personal meaning behind the handcrafted work.
On Thursday, May 23, the rapper (whose real name is Colson Baker), 34, shared a video on TikTok featuring clips of himself working on a handmade miniature Norwegian-style boat, complete with oars and a sail.
After introducing the project, he edited together a series of clips showing him carving a block of wood, sculpting it with various tools and finishing it with a wood varnish before adding the sails and oars.
"I just finished the boat," he said in the last clip. "These are the final details of the ship."
In the caption, the musician and actor revealed the meaning behind the piece — he seemingly dedicated it to the baby whom he and fiancée Megan Fox lost during her pregnancy.
"My first wood carving. For a special soul that will be found again," he wrote in the caption, adding a heart-hands emoji.
Fans in MGK's comment section were extremely supportive of the project and complimented his work, while also offering their support nearly seven months after Fox, 38, revealed she'd had a miscarriage in her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous.
"Hoping you find the peace you deserve brother," one commenter wrote.
"Please carve more. Watching this was so therapeutic," another fan chimed in.
Yet another person commented underneath the video: "There’s something so therapeutic about working with your hands on a special project."

Fox reflected on her miscarriage in her book, writing, "Maybe if you hadn't… maybe if i had…"
Elsewhere, she wrote, "I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh," and later, "but now / I have to say / goodbye." Another line is about imagining holding the baby "as they rip you from my insides."
In May 2022, MGK dedicated his Billboard Music Awards performance of his song "Twin Flame" to Fox, stating at the time, "And this is for our unborn child."

He also released the song "dont let me go" in February 2024, which includes lyrics that allude to Fox's miscarriage: "How can I live with the fact / That my hand wasn't on her stomach when we lost the baby."
MGK is father to 14-year-old daughter Casie Colson Baker, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon, and Fox is mom to three sons, Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 6, whom she shares with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.
In an interview with Good Morning America last fall, Fox talked about the miscarriage being something she experienced alongside MGK.
"I've never been through anything like that in my life," she said. "I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately…trying to navigate, 'What does this mean?' and 'Why did this happen?' "
