As a kid, the best part of Christmas morning is seeing what Santa brought you. But as a mom, it’s seeing how your kids react to what Santa brought, and oh my goodness is it rewarding. The delighted shock and awe of that moment is unforgettable! Kaley Cuoco got to experience this for the first time with her 20-month-old daughter Matilda, who she shares with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, and the toddler’s excited reaction is something Cuoco will cherish forever.
“When you see what the ‘ho ho’ brought you for the first time,” The Big Bang Theory alum wrote on her Instagram story yesterday. In the video, Cuoco, Pelphrey, and Matilda are all wearing matching red-and-green Grinch pajamas from Posh Peanut as they enter the family room. Matilda lets go of her parents’ hands when she sees the Christmas tree and immediately breaks into a run. She holds a little stuffed bunny in one hand as she sprint-toddles toward the tree (and all the presents underneath!), waving one arm up and down for extra speed as she makes her way there. She is so adorable we can’t handle it!

When Matilda gets to the tree, the first thing she sees is a Minnie Mouse grocery checkout, which she sees and starts pressing buttons on immediately. We also spot a Minnie Mouse basketball toy, a mini tool workshop, and several wrapped presents under the tree as the camera pans over to her parents. Cuoco and Pelphrey are both smiling at their daughter with twin looks of utter delight on their faces. (PEOPLE has screenshots of the adorable moment HERE.)
Matilda demonstrated her impersonation of Santa Claus in a video last week, revealing how she calls the jolly fellow “Ho Ho.” In a video, the Based on a True Story star asked her daughter, “OK, Matilda, what does Santa say?”
The toddler looks up and screams, “Hoooooooooooooo!” with a huge smile. She’s even clenching her fists and lifting up on her feet to put all her might into saying the word. “In case anyone was wondering what Santa says lol,” Cuoco captioned the adorable video on her Instagram story. You can tell she is stoked about the holidays!
Today, the Oh Norman! founder shared more pictures from Christmas on her Instagram story, including a selfie of her, Matilda, and Pelphrey in their matching pjs. Matilda holds a brand-new Frozen karaoke machine in her arms as they smile for the snaps. “@tommypelphrey Thank u @poshpeanut for Tildy’s favorite Grinch pjs!” Cuoco captioned the photo.
In another photo, Matilda looks adorable in a red Christmas dress, giving a big grin to the camera. “Happy girl” Cuoco wrote in a sticker over the photo. In the next, she reveals why Matilda is so happy: she got a bright pink toy car! She’s hugging her mom as she rides in it, looking so cute. In another snap, Matilda tries it out by herself. “That new car no license feeling lol” Cuoco captioned the photo.
