Jennifer Lopez forced to defend her marriage to Ben Affleck in awkward red carpet moment

Jennifer Lopez had the perfect response as she was quizzed on whether her marriage to Ben Affleck would last.

Speculation has been mounting that their romance is on the rocks, with the couple often seen having some tense exchanges. However, J-Lo has now insisted this is her "last marriage".

The 54-year-old singer put on a dazzling display as she attended the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. She wowed fans as she walked the red carpet wearing a pastel pink dress which featured a sweetheart neckline and huge puffy sleeves.

As J-Lo walked the red carpet, one reporter asked: "So how do you know your last wedding is it?" The actress seemed annoyed as she replied: "Because when they say, 'You know,' you know."

She then laughed as she added: "And other times when you didn't know, you also didn't know." Jennifer said she always goes into a relationship with "the best of intentions".

The reporter then asked how Ben feels to see his wife "play up" their marriage. J-Lo said: "I think he sees me as an artist and he knows that I'm going to express myself and he's my biggest fan and biggest supporter."

Fans were left cringing over the awkward interview question and flocked to X to share their thoughts. "This interview was so embarrassing and awkward – if I was J Lo I would have walked away," one person fumed.

Another wrote: "The questioning here was so cringe," while someone else hit out: "Disrespectful unprofessional interviewer." A fourth person begged: "This interview crew is so awkward. Please find better interviewers."

The Golden Globes come after Ben and Jennifer were spotted shopping for some expensive jewellery during their holiday in St Bart's. They were snapped looking in the high end boutiques in the capital of Gustavia.

J-Lo tried on a necklace and a pair of earrings as Ben took pictures on his phone. They were caught deep in conversation, with the Gone Girl star snapped putting his hands on his head, seemingly in frustration. However, they soon seemed to have settled any disagreements as they shared a sweet kiss.
