Jennifer Lawrence’s maternity wardrobe is undeniably chic. While the actor often relies on streamlined silhouettes and minimalist designs, she’s also not above embracing a new trend. Case in point: her latest papped walk in New York City involved a surprise pop of cheetah print.
Lawrence, who is currently expecting her second child with husband Cooke Maroney, was seen strolling through the city in an outfit that provided an easy blueprint for fellow moms on the go. The Don’t Look Up star mixed comfort with style in a slouchy gray hoodie and roomy wide-leg black pants. She refined the look with her outerwear—a classic khaki trench coat—and her choice of footwear. Namely, she rewore her beloved pair of Loewe’s Ballet Runner 2.0, an It sneaker style that she has been repping on repeat for the past few weeks.
All in all, Lawrence’s look was a lesson in minimalist dressing—that is, until you see her accessories. Never one to be confined by trends, the actor subverted her easygoing outfit formula by adding an unexpected cheetah-print bag from Prada, which featured circular silver buckles on the top-handle straps. For good measure, she finished the look off with some oval-shaped Celine shades.

“I think I started paying attention to fashion as soon as paparazzi started happening a few years ago,” Lawrence previously said of finding her personal style in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s May 2016 cover story. “I was not ready. I was like, ‘What do I wear?’ I had to start paying attention. When I turned 25 it got easier because I know, ‘This is you, this is not you.’”
