Stepping onto the Vanity Fair Oscars red carpet earlier this year, the Red Sparrow actress stunned in a low-cut, old-fashioned look adorned with fine lace, although it looks like her fans weren't too keen on her style choice. Winding up slammed by users on The Daily Mail, Jennifer was told that her dress wasn't "flattering," although some sent her love. Ditching the Dior designer she fronts, J-Law chose rival brand Givenchy, modeling a vintage 1996 Couture number from the brand's archives.

Looking ethereal in a dress that Harper's Bazaar said belonged in Bridgerton, Jennifer highlighted her curves in a scoop-neck gown with a floor length. Going semi-sheer and with embellishments in white lace adding feminine accents, the Hollywood star stuck to a classic shade of white, looking flawless with a train, plus white stiletto heels.
Accentuating her cleavage via a plunging neckline, Jennifer also drew the eye to her toned waistline. Meanwhile, the structured sleeve and collar detailing added more flourishes.
Accessorizing her floral number with diamond jewelry, Jennifer wore her hair tied back, showing off her high cheekbones and plump pout via matte makeup and rosy lip gloss.
Noting the Regency feel, one fan replied: "Looks like she’s come out of a period drama, 1800s style." Another, meanwhile, said: "The dress has 'granny' feel to it. Definitely not the best, but not the worst either." A third said that the fabric was "pretty," adding: " It’s not flattering around the stomach area because it seems to balloon out, plus you can see the big granny pants underneath."

Dropping jaws in a plunging slit dress in black velvet, the actress quickly found her popper-accent gown likened to model Elizabeth Hurley's famous "safety pin" dress, one the 59-year-old donned back in the 1990s.
“For me, it’s more of a fashion accessory. I think that it’s more expressive than a normal piece of jewelry. There’s something more serious about it that I like. I think that there’s not really any outfit that you can put on that it isn’t going to elevate," Jennifer told The Kit.
