Jennifer Lawrence is on presenter duty tonight at the Oscars, and she leaned into Hollywood glamour for the occasion. The past Best Actress Oscar winner wore a black and white polka dot dress by Dior Haute Couture. Her hair was parted on the side and styled down. She accessorized with Swarovski Created Diamonds jewelry.

Lawrence’s longtime close friend Emma Stone is nominated for Best Actress this evening for her work in Poor Things. Lawrence had a viral moment during the Golden Globes in January when Stone won the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy category over her. Lawrence had been nominated for her performance in No Hard Feelings.
Lawrence ecstatically cheered Stone on though during her win, as if it was her own.
Lawrence actually interviewed Stone for ELLE back in 2018. She asked Stone why friendship was so important to her.
“I think friendship is pretty much everything,” Stone answered. “Here’s another turning-30 thing I’ve realized: You pick your family. You realize that your friendships, the people who go with you into these next phases of your life—you’re choosing your family.”
Lawrence asked what quality is most important in friendship. Stone responded, “loyalty is enormous.” She then told Lawrence, “You’ve been one of my most loyal friends for years. And I think knowing that you can laugh together and that not everything has to be such a big deal.”
She also jokingly called out Lawrence’s dog Pippi as being her favorite friend. “She has a personality!” Lawrence responded.
“I love Pippi’s mom,” Stone added.
