Jason Statham’s new movie has officially concluded its theatrical run, but another of his more recent flicks has surged to streaming success over the weekend. Statham stars alongside Megan Fox and Sylvester Stallone in Expend4bles, the 2023 action thriller that concluded the Expendables franchise. Expend4bles has been streaming on Starz for more than a year now, and it even spent more than 200 days atop streaming charts before exiting the top 10 earlier this year. However, the recent release of A Working Man has fans rushing to check out Statham’s filmography, which has propelled the film back into the Starz top 10. Expend4bles was panned by critics upon release, leading to it earning a 14% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but the audience-driven Popcornmeter sits at a much more respectable 69%.
Jason Statham has been extremely busy lately, and things are only going to pick up as the actor has several intriguing projects in the works. Statham is set to reprise his role as Adam Clay in a sequel to The Beekeeper, the 2024 film directed by David Ayer. However, Ayer will not return to direct the sequel and will instead be replaced by Timo Tjahjanto (Nobody 2). Statham is also attached to star in Mutiny, an upcoming action thriller directed by Jean-François Richet, which has been set for release on January 9, 2026. Annabelle Wallis will also star in the film. Statham is even expected to reprise his role as Deckard Shaw in Fast X: Part 2, which is set to begin production this summer in LA. Statham previously appeared in a small role in Fast X, and he’s expected to step back into a larger role in the final film of the franchise.
