Inside Selena Gomez and Jennifer Aniston’s Sweet Galentine’s Celebration: ‘We Sister-Mother Each Other’ (Exclusive)

Selena Gomez and Jennifer Aniston will always be there for each other.

On Wednesday, Feb. 5, the Emilia Pérez star, 32, and The Morning Show executive producer, 55, came together with their beauty brands, Rare Beauty and LolaVie, to co-host an empowering Galentine's Day celebration at the San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles.

Matching in head-to-toe black outfits, the superstars opened up about their longtime friendship as they mingled and snapped photos with an intimate group of women.

"I've known Jen for over a decade now, and she's someone I've always looked up to … she's always been there for me," Gomez — who also announced the launch of Rare Beauty's new Soft Pinch Matte Bouncy Blush (dropping in late March, with early access for U.S. and Canada residents) at the fête — said about Aniston.

"It's nice to have people in your life who can just be there and hear you out and [give] me great advice," added Gomez.

Aniston, whose LolaVie is also set to release a Peptide Plumping Volume Spray, said she and Gomez "sister-mother each other equally as best as we can."

During their welcoming remarks, the Friends star took a moment to address the recent Los Angeles-area fires, growing emotional as she reflected on the "really hard couple of weeks" for the city.

"I hope everybody's safe and okay. It's been a hard one," said Aniston.

Later in the evening Aniston and Gomez headed to the venue's screening room for a viewing of Clueless — but not before poking some fun at their mutual pal Paul Rudd.

"We felt his career is having a little bit of a dip… thought it would be good to just remind everyone who Paul Rudd is," joked Aniston about their movie choice for the night, later noting that he "still looks the same age as he does when I met him."

Quipped Gomez, who starred opposite Rudd in 2016's The Fundamentals of Caregiving and reunited with him onscreen for Only Murders in the Building: "I've kept him good, but then I send him back to you."

Gomez first opened up about her relationship with Aniston in 2015, telling KTU they connected through their mutual management teams.

"It was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she's, like, inviting me to her house," revealed Gomez, who has long said Aniston was an inspiration to her growing up. "She had a pizza oven… she's very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice."
