Inside Christina Hall and Josh Hall’s Fight Over Their $4.5 Million Tennessee Home (Exclusive)

Update: 10/10/24 5:51 ET — According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, October 10, Joshua Hall requested an immediate order to prevent ex-wife Christina Hall from selling her Tennessee home.

Joshua claimed in the filing that the listing of the home was done without his “consent” and a “court order.” Joshua noted that while he acknowledged that Christina purchased the house before they wed, the home was meant for them to use as a “family” and not a business venture. Throughout their separation, Joshua has been staying at the Tennessee home while the property is not being rented out, which he and Chirstina previously agreed to. Joshua shared in the filing that he relocated from Southern California to Tennessee due to the nature of his and Christina’s agreement.

In the docs, Joshua claimed that he made a global settlement offer to Christina, which included terms related to the Parker Branch residence. However the deal was rejected. He also claimed that Christina requested a “written agreement” to sell the residence but he did not sign nor agree to the terms. Joshua alleged that he learned that Christina proceeded with the listing via social media.

Christina Hall and estranged husband Joshua Hall are at odds over their Tennessee home.

“When Christina listed the Tennessee house, Josh got upset because Christina has been allowing him to stay there during their separation,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “But now he has to potentially move out.”

On Tuesday, October 8, Christina’s Franklin, Tennessee abode was on the market and listed for $4.5 million. The property, which was featured on Christina in the Country, was shown off via an Instagram Reel shared by Christina, 41, and the Parks at Home real estate agency.

“Bittersweet … this was an amazing home,” Christina commented on the clip.

Us confirmed in August that Joshua moved out of the home he shared with Christina during their marriage. Last month, Joshua agreed to let Christina have temporary possession of their former shared home in Newport Beach, California. He also did not object to temporarily granting Christina exclusive control over their Eve luxury condominiums in Nashville, Tennessee. Joshua concurred that the Tennessee home belonged to Christina and he had no ownership over the abode he currently resides in.

“Once again, Christina [is] making a public spectacle because the law doesn’t operate to the impulsive whims of Christina Hall,” an additional insider exclusively tells Us. “As is in public record, Josh agreed to let Christina have exclusive use and possession of their jointly owned Newport property, and Christina agreed to allow Josh to use her Tennessee property when it’s not being rented as an Airbnb.”

According to the source, Joshua feels like Christina is “backing out of their agreement and the court order.”

“Josh is used to this though, which is exactly why he’s so happy being single,” the insider explains. “He is loving Tennessee, but this is still a new situation, so he hasn’t made firm plans for the future.”

The source adds that Joshua “has some exciting opportunities on the horizon.” While he is gearing up for his next chapter without Christina, he’s “looking forward to resolving this divorce so he can finally move on.”

Joshua and Christina both filed for divorce in July. Since news broke of their split, the pair have had a tumultuous back and forth as they’ve argued over their shared assets. According to docs obtained by Us, Joshua wants to divide assets 50/50, which includes their Newport Beach home and rights to Christina’s HGTV series. Christina and Josh were also in the process of filming a new HGTV show titled, The Flip Off, with Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. However, Us confirmed in August that production was moving forward without Joshua amid their divorce.

Christina, for her part, took to social media to react to her estranged husband’s legal demands.

“I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve / what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she wrote via Instagram Story in July. “An insecure man with a large ego can sure try to derail you — but ‘still I rise.’”
