The latest “off” moment in Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s on-off relationship feels different, sources told multiple outlets. Insiders spoke more to Us Weekly and People about how Fox and Kelly are doing and why they both view this as the end of their romance, perhaps even permanently. Fox is currently pregnant with her and Kelly’s first child together.
She is “devastated and very emotional” about their split, People’s source, who is close to Fox, said. Earlier this week, a source explained to Page Six that Fox had “found text messages involving other women” on Kelly’s phone “and decided she was done” during their Thanksgiving trip.
People’s source gave more insight on her reasoning, saying, “She feels like she can’t trust him. They have had so many issues in the past. Megan was always hopeful that they would be able to work it out. She seems over it now, though.”
Us Weekly spoke to a source who gave Kelly’s view of the situation. He is “taking some time away from Hollywood,” the insider said, noting he left California “for a while.”
“Everything has been a lot lately, and he’s been very anxious and wants to escape the whole situation and work on himself,” the source shared. “At the moment, he realizes they are definitely over, and he’s been very clear with friends about that. [He] seems very different from normal.”
On December 11, TMZ reported that Fox’s friends were encouraging her to not reconcile with Kelly. Sources told the outlet that Fox’s inner circle has “strongly advised her to move on once and for all, noting the damaging effects her on-again-off-again relationship with MGK is having on her amid her pregnancy with his child.” The sources stressed the group has repeatedly expressed concern to Fox that her on-off partner is harming her health.
Neither Fox nor Kelly has spoken about the breakup. In March, Fox told Call Her Daddy that she is no longer discussing her status with Kelly on purpose.
“I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption,” Fox said. “So I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is that [he] is what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul,’ and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain. All those things you said were accurate things that have occurred [that we got engaged, called it off, and now people aren’t sure what our status is]. And I could see them being confusing, or interesting to people, and them being like, ‘What’s up?’”
