Friends: Jennifer Aniston & David Schwimmer Awkwardly Reunite For Super Bowl Ad

Former Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer reunite for a Super Bowl ad. The Super Bowl will take place this year on Sunday, February 11, and with it will come a smattering of high-production-quality advertisements. The event is also known to be concurrent with the release of several movie trailers, which this year will include titles such as Deadpool 3, Inside Out 2, and Quiet Place: Day One.

UberEats releases a Super Bowl ad that shows an awkward reunion between Friends cast members Schwimmer and Aniston. First introducing Aniston, the advertisement’s hook involves several people forgetting items.

In various vignettes, UberEats customers inform audiences of some items that can be bought on the service, including coffee and office supplies. Eventually, Schwimmer comes up to greet Aniston as a surprise, only to realize the actress has forgotten him.

Friends Has Had a Tough Year (But It Cemented Love for the Show)

These two actors, along with the rest of their Friends co-stars, had a tough year in 2023. On October 28, 2023, former Chandler Bing actor Matthew Perry was found drowned in his hot tub at the age of 54. Schwimmer, Aniston, and more Friends stars have since expressed an outpouring of support for the late actor, who was beloved on and off-screen.

Friends has remained popular for years, and Perry’s death only further cemented the love that people have for the series. Following the actor’s death, fans and co-stars alike have recognized some of Chandler’s best moments and other key moments in the sitcom. Friends also played a role in a popular 2023 film, Leave the World Behind, as the doomsday film included one odd subplot: a young girl’s desperation to watch the finale of Friends.

Given the year that Friends has been through, it is nice to see two of the actors together again for a Super Bowl ad. Playing Ross and Rachel on the show, Schwimmer and Aniston are iconic characters from the series. Even if Aniston may, jokingly, stumble to remember her co-star, their time on the classic sitcom will not be forgotten.
