It has been eight years since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, sparking a legal and media war that may soon come to an end if both parties reach an agreement. The actress, known for her role as Maleficent, has urged the actor to withdraw his lawsuit over the sale of the vineyard they co-owned in order to put an end to a significant portion of their battle.
Château Miraval, acquired in 2008, is the estate that they agreed not to sell, in a verbal pact, without the consent of both parties. However, the actress decided to dispose of her stake in a deal that Pitt's lawyers deemed “vindictive.”

But it's not the only request from Jolie in one of her legal proceedings with Pitt. Another one is related to the incident that happened on a plane in 2016 and that ultimately led to the divorce and the actor's issues with his children. The two-time Oscar winner has asked the court itself for her ex-partner to hand over all third-party documents he has regarding this case.
A request that Brad's lawyers did not take long to criticize, as reported by E! News. Among other things, they labeled this petition as a “sensationalist fishing expedition” to bring to light “some of the most deeply personal aspects of her ex-husband's life.”

In response, Angelina's lawyer replied firmly. “We are not surprised at all that Mr. Pitt is afraid to hand over the documents,” he stated, according to the mentioned media outlet. “Although Angelina is once again asking Mr. Pitt to end the fight and finally put his family on a clear path to healing, unless Mr. Pitt withdraws his lawsuit, Angelina has no choice but to obtain the necessary evidence to prove that his accusations are false,” he added.
And it is in this lawsuit that the actor from Bullet Train had an altercation with one of his children on the mentioned plane. “Brad has taken responsibility for everything since day one, unlike the other party, but he is not going to accept anything he has not done. He has been the target of all kinds of personal attacks and misrepresentations,” expressed one of his lawyers.

In this open war, which could come to an end if they come to an agreement, the children of both have already wanted to position themselves in some way. Vivienne (15 years old), Zahara (19), and Maddox (22) have long stopped using their father's last name in various events they have attended, such as universities or jobs.
But the latest one has been Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, who has wanted to take it a step further and formalize this step legally. The actors' daughter requested on her 18th birthday to be able to remove Brad Pitt's last name. Something for which she will have to wait for a final resolution and that has “hurt” the actor a lot.
